The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System is calling all Veterans enrolled to participate in the local Creative Arts competition.  The local competition includes 53 art categories that range from oil painting to leatherwork to paint-by-numbers kits.  There are also 123 categories pertaining to all aspects of music, dance, drama and creative writing.  The creative writing division includes original works in poetry, essay, short story and personal experience writing.

The competition recognizes the progress and recovery made through arts therapy and raises the visibility of the creative achievements of our nation's Veterans.  Winners will have their names submitted to the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival Committee for consideration to attend the 2011 Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
