Monday, August 13, 2012

No need to wait in line or on the phone to refill you VA prescriptions.  You can order your prescriptions with a few clicks of the computer mouse on My HealtheVet website.

My HealtheVet is the VA’s award winning Personal Health Record.  With My HealtheVet, VA Patients gain greater access to VA Services.  These services put the Veteran in the driver’s seat of their health care.  With programs like View Appointments, Health Calendar, Secure Messaging, and Online Prescription Refill Veterans take charge.

To start, first, visit www.MyHealth.va.gov and register for a basic account.  Check “VA Patient” when registering.  Once registered as a “VA Patient” on My HealtheVet, go to “Prescription Refill” to start.  VA Prescriptions can be refilled anytime from any computer with internet access.

My HealtheVet has other features to help take charge of your health.  By upgrading with a one-time In Person Authentication (IPA), you can use upgraded features.  This includes Secure Messaging, Wellness Reminders, and Appointments.  To upgrade print the form, and bring it to local VA Facility or clinic.  Once upgraded you have access to current and future My HealtheVet features.  If you have questions or need assistance registering contact the My HealtheVet office at (909) 583-6220.
